Paulist Evangelization Ministries is an apostolic arm of the Paulist Fathers, a missionary community founded in America in 1858 specifically to spread the Catholic faith in modern culture. Father Isaac Thomas Hecker, now a Servant of God as part of the Paulist effort to have him beatified, began the Paulists with four others—all of them converts to the Catholic faith. They used the pulpit and the pen to communicate with their fellow citizens; today’s Paulists use every modern means to help spread the faith and bring people back to the practice of their faith. Paulist Evangelization Ministries, focuses the Paulist vision into the more particular efforts of reaching seekers, reconnecting with inactive Catholics, developing material to help parishes and Catholics reach out, reaching Catholic prisoners, and explaining the faith in clear, modern ways.
